8th Annual Fiddle, Piano, & Guitar Workshops July 13-17, 2009! Register Now!
We are pleased to have our 8th workshop in the Kootenays at Selkirk College with a collection of Canada´s great musicians for an intimate five-day workshop. The workshop caters to a broad range of fiddling skill levels from the novice to the professional. There will be workshops for the guitar and piano accompanists as well as step dance sessions. Classes are all designed for learning and fun. Students will learn to play by ear in a group environment. Fiddlers and accompanists of all skill levels will be better players when the camp ends.
Students will have an opportunity to work with several instructors in small groups. All students must provide their own instrument. Bring your cassette recorder to keep track of all the tunes.
Evenings feature concerts by instructors, dances and jam sessions. On the final day there will be a “community concert” where students and instructors play.
Registration and auditions will begin at 8:00 am Monday morning July 13th.
